I have created the garments Mariko Miyata-Jancey is wearing in these beautiful images photographed by Julie Pike.

For her solo performance, Åpning, Mariko and I experienced a visual journey capturing her in the costumes I created for her before, the actual performance. This sparked an idea for a photoshoot between Mariko and Julie Pike that would aim to capture the essence of the transformation - that is explored within Mariko’s solo performance Åpning - through artistic photographs celebrating the fluidity and transcendence of the human form.
